Built in 1953, Rosedale was one of the first schools in the Chico Unified School District.
Rosedale is a K-6 school with a rich multiculturally diverse population. Rosedale houses one of the two programs in the District for the Two Way Spanish Immersion Program as well as a Neighborhood Program. Teachers, staff and students respect each other and strive to develop each student's unique potential in a safe and enriched learning environment.

The Original Rosedale School was purchased around 1902 by the Chico School District. The original Rosedale School, Bidwell School and Chapman School were auctioned in 1953. Rosedale was purchased by the Knights of Columbus, Chapman went to C.A.R.D. and Bidwell School was bought by Chico Grange #486.

Chico Grange continues to use the the Old Bidwell School which is located at the cross roads of Old Nord Avenue, Rodeo Avenue and Henshaw Avenues.
