Principal’s Message
Pioneer Quincy Elementary School is a kindergarten through eighth grade school with
two campuses. Our Pioneer campus houses kindergarten through fourth grade students,
and our Quincy campus houses all of our fifth through eighth grade students.
Both campuses are located in the town of Quincy in Plumas County, California. Our
students attend school on a traditional school calendar. We provide a quality education
in a supportive environment for all of our students. Improving student learning is
our primary focus. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring that our students meet the California
Content Standards and to providing enriched learning opportunities.
Major Achievements:
• Pioneer Elementary and Quincy Elementary were successfully reconfigured into
one school.
• We have consistently scored high on the Academic Performance Index (API).
• We have met all federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) goals.
• A Comprehensive Learning Center was created to provide academic support for
students scoring Below Basic or Far Below Basic on standardized tests.

Parental Involvement
We have a very active and supportive Parent Cooperative Organization. They provide
our students with numerous activities, such as assemblies, field trips, family nights,
talent shows, and field days. They are dedicated to improving the education of our
students by providing additional classroom supplies and funding numerous staff development
and training sessions. We also have a large number of parents and community
members who work in classrooms, run our Read Naturally program, and assist
with PE and recess activities. Parents are active on the School Site Council
(SSC), Title VII, Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), and Title I Advisory Committees.
