Last week my husband and I went in and met with our son?s Kindergarten teacher. It was parent/teacher conference week. Since we moved in November, this was our first opportunity to really sit down and talk with his new teacher. In the past, when I have tried to get feed back on how my son was adjusting to his new class I would be told how ?kind? he is. More specifically what a ?kind gentle soul? he was.Nice words, yes. Still I never really got the answers I needed.After spending half an hour and hearing (again) what a kind gentle soul my son was, I did walk out with a better understanding of how my son is doing and the type of student he is.He is right where he should be academically (yeah). She finds him to be an observer who would rather first watch how others attempt a task before he jumps in. This maybe a sign that he is a bit of a perfectionist.
