The mission of Hueneme Elementary School is to provide society with citizens who will be lifelong learners. This mission is guided by our goal to provide an equitable, quality education for all students. It is based on Hueneme School's philosophy that all students have dignity and worth, can be successful in school, and will become responsible, contributing members of society. Our staff strives to create an educational environment which fosters the development of personal and social competence.

An integral part of our mission is realizing the social and academic needs of our students. We acknowledge that all students have the same basic human needs. We realize that students develop at different rates, have different learning styles and have diverse cultural backgrounds. To meet these individual academic and social needs we access existing knowledge and implement appropriate instruction.
