Welcome to the Camptonville School District!
We are located between Sacramento, California and Reno, Nevada in the foothills of California's Sierra Nevada Mountains, 50 miles north of Interstate 80 on Highway 49 (map).
During the California Gold Rush era, Camptonville was a thriving mining town, but today we are a quiet rural community better known for the many artisans, musicians and writers who have made their homes here.
Camptonville School is our local K-8 program. It is a small school with an optimistic outlook, a happy and exciting place for children to learn. We are fortunate to have great teachers AND great students.
Being a small school has its advantages; the students get one-on-one attention from the teachers, and they have easy access to learning materials and equipment, including state-of-the-art computer technology in every classroom.
Students graduate from Camptonville School feeling good about themselves, knowing that they have the skills they need to achieve great things in life.
