Alvin S. Hatch Elementary School is located in the coastal town of Half Moon Bay, CA and is one of six schools in the Cabrillo Unified School District. There are approximately 525 students, 25 classroom teachers, 8 classified staff and the Principal. The primary grades, K-3, have a ratio of 20 students to 1 teacher and the 4-5 grades have a ratio of approximately 32 to 1.

There are two educational programs at Hatch; the English Immersion (Traditional) and the Spanish Immersion Program. The Spanish Immersion's goal is literacy in two languages.
