Saint John the Baptist Catholic School is dedicated to continuing the work of Christ while providing each individual with the opportunity to achieve academic excellence and make a positive contribution in the world.

Principal's Letter

In the late 1940’s, St. John parishioners expressed a wish for a Catholic School . After a number of fundraisers, the parish purchased the original Healdsburg Elementary School building. St. John School opened its doors on September 19, 1950. Eighty-nine students were enrolled in grades 1 – 6. They were taught by five Sisters of the Infant Jesus. The first graduating class of 11 students received diplomas in June, 1953.

St. John the Baptist Catholic School has been educating students in the Catholic tradition since 1950. Catholic education strives to educate the whole child: spiritually emotionally, socially, intellectually, artistically and physically. We continue to provide strong academic programs that are integrated with strong Catholic values, a sense of family, and community outreach.

Our dedicated and highly trained teachers and support staff are committed to sharing the vision and mission of St. John the Baptist Catholic School . The school, partnered with the parents, supports each child in the process of growing while developing an appreciation for life-long learning and service to the local and global community.
