At Lincoln Elementary School, our mission is to promote a life-long love of learning that is reflected in students' performance, self-esteem, and citizenship. To achieve this goal, the school staff, pupils, parents and community must work together to create a positive school climate that encourages high expectations and excellence for all students.
Parents are involved in many areas of the school and are especially active in the Parent Teacher Club (PTC). This organization provides students, staff, and the community with opportunities to service the students through events such as the School Carnival, Book Fair, Red Ribbon Week, Author Day,Cultural Night and numerous other activities. The PTC President, Jennie Farman, depends upon active parent involvement to continue these projects. The PTC Board meets regularly on the first Friday of the month.
The School Site Council, chaired by Michelle McBride, combines the efforts of parents, teachers, and other school staff to provide general direction for the school. The Site Council holds regular meetings on the second Wednesday of the month. Parents are involved in the classroom and in the library. Additionally, parents accompany classes on educational field trips to local and surrounding area sites.
