Browns Valley School is located on the north side of Vacaville and serves a mixed residential neighborhood and rural population of students. The school opened on July 3, 1991, with 643 students, as a year round school operating on a 4 schedule, 60/20 system. We are currently operating on a single track schedule with 950 students. The 2009-2010 school year Browns Valley will switch to a modified traditional calendar that the rest of the district is now using. The school plant consists of an office complex, a library, multipurpose room, 19 regular classrooms, and 20 portables.

Mission Statement
The staff at Browns Valley School believes in the importance and worth of each student. We believe that our students are skilled, knowledgeable, and self directed learners who are progressing towards the full realization of their potential. This is acheived in a caring environment where each student is valued.

Vision Statement
Students will realize their full potential because of high academic standards, and self and group discipline. Active student/parent/community participation will create an environment that is safe; that has clear rules and consequences; that is clean and well maintained; that has clearly established goals where achievement is encouraged and recognized; and that respects the gender, ethnicity, cultural and religious backgrounds of the students.

Students from Browns Valley generally graduate to Willis Jepson Middle School and then go on to Vacaville High School.
